The Addition of Articles
to the “Tech Article” Section of the Website
A total of Fourteen (14) new articles, the latest from 06-2010, now appearing as of 03 July 2010 in our Technical Article Section of the Website have been prepared and released by Tom Endy and posted for your use. The “newer” ones are annotated with the dates to identify them. As most are aware Tom has been preparing and delivering several seminars over the years and always prepares these fabulous handouts which on occasion make their way into various publications. The majority of the articles posted herein were prepared for the Victoria Publication and appeared in that same publication. For those that don't know, Tom is the Editor for the Victoria Association newsletter, "The Bustle" for more years than he probably wants to remember.
One of Tom's best and most comprehensive pieces has also been posted and that is the complete Restoration of a Model A Differential. For those that were fortunate enough to attend the Dallas Model A Meeting and attend Tom's seminar on the restoration of the differential, you received a handout of the material at the presentation. This same presentation along with all the pictures has been posted on our OCMAFC website under the Technical Articles tab on the left.
In addition, newly added is Tom's detailed Tutorial on the teardown, inspection and restoration of the "can be deadly" Model A Transmission Tower. This write-up is in the same detail as Tom would present during one of his seminars with pictures that bring you right into the action. Really great information.
Tom had previously sent me a disc that contains the write-ups of his older and recently updated handout notes that he had originally prepared for the distributor and carburetor classroom seminars that he conducted along with some others. For those of you who have attended these Saturday seminars at CHOC or the “coffee & donut” sessions at Tom's home, you know how valuable and informative they are.
Thanks Tom, we sincerely appreciate your expertise and continue support.
When you see Tom at the club meetings and at future events be sure to thank him for his technical interest, expertise and his continued contributions to the hobby of Model A's.
